Our client is a highly successful, growing manufacturing & distribution business based in Bristol. They are currently recruiting for a new role of Head of Procurement & Technical. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will manage a team covering both the technical, stock & purchasing functions. You will have full responsibility for purchasing all packaging, raw materials and BIFG (Bought in Finished Goods) as well as ensuring all products purchased, are to the agreed product specifications and are compliant to all relevant legislation and customer agreements / specifications for finished products. You should have some international sourcing & buying experience, and have ideally worked within an FMCG, Food, Packaging, Printing or Manufacturing environment with exposure to the multiples. The ideal candidate could either be working as an Operations Manager / Director in a medium sized business or a Technical Manager /Director role with a strong commercial awareness. We would also be very interested in talking to a Buying / Category Manager from one of the major multiples and / or a food and packaging related business. This is an exciting role for an experienced supply chain, sourcing specialist who is seeking a senior role.
