   Our client is a well established, privately owned multi site manufacturing & engineering group which has its’ head office in Bristol & a number of sites around the UK.They are now looking to recruit a high calibre Finance Director to report to and work closely with the Managing Director who is also the main shareholder of the business.

This is a hand’s on role & you will play a key part in driving business performance forward by adding commercial focus & direction. Responsibilities include: lead & control the budgetary process on an annual basis, production of monthly accounts which will be supported with a commercial commentary detailing variance analysis, opportunities & risk analysis. You will also monitor the cash position dealing with some multi-currency transactions & ensure that the company complies with all necessary legal requirements.

You will also assess & look to improve financial reporting systems in order to monitor the financial performance of the Group as well as lead & motivate the finance function (who are based at a number of the sites) to deliver high quality & timely support to the business & its goals.

You will be qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) most likely joining from a background in either an engineering or manufacturing environment, & as a result will possess a strong understanding of stock/component control & inventory management.
