Based in South Wales, and employing 900 staff, the award winning Royal Mint has been in existence for 1,000 years, and is the leading export mint currently supplying coins to 60 countries worldwide and designing and manufacturing premium commemorative coins and medals for global markets.

The Royal Mint is bucking market trends and expanding globally in line with their ambitious 5 year business plan. Major growth is anticipated in 2012 fuelled by two major events: the London Olympics and the Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

As a result of this growth, they are now seeking a new Head of Direct to Consumer Sales todrive sales through direct to consumer channels including e commerce, direct response and telesales.

Reporting into the Director, Commemorative Coin, this is a senior management role responsible for leading a team of 50 whoare responsible for further developing the Royal Mints’ e commerce offering, driving sales via the web and direct response, increasingon line traffic, and growing customer awareness and brand loyalty.

Yourbrief will be to drive and achieve increased sales and profit targets, as well as devising and implementing the appropriate strategies to grow revenue, whilst ensuring the well being of the department to maximise performance.

Ideally candidates will be joining from a fast paced B2C environment and have significant e commerce and direct response experience. Proven experience of developing an online business through paid and natural search optimisation would be desirable.You will have strong people management experience with responsibility for your own P&L. Relevant sectors include Retail, FMCG, Telecoms, Travel, Publishing, or Financial Services.
