Our client is a well established, privately owned group turning over c£90m which is involved in packaging and distribution, selling into the retail, food service and hospitality sectors as well as supplying the multiples.  They have a number of sites in the UK, with clear expansion plans to grow in the USA, Europe and Asia. They are now looking to recruit a new role of Finance Director to work closely with the Group Managing Director and Group CEO.

This is a new role within the group and as such, you will play a key part in driving business performance forward by adding commercial focus and direction. Working closely with the board and operating businesses, this is an all encompassing role ranging from managing the day to day finance team as well as developing strategy, new business proposals, contract negotiations and any corporate finance transactions.

You will be an experienced Finance Director, a graduate qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) or equivalent - most likely joining from a background in a distribution, retail, or food environment, with prior exposure to working with the multiples - experience of setting up ventures in the Far East would also be useful but not essential. We are therefore seeking an all round commercially focused Finance Director, with international and new business development experience as well as exposure to dealing with 3^rd pary investors such as private equity groups or financiers. This is a role where you can develop the role of finance into a more commercial function, add value and impact on the fortunes of an already established and successful business.

The salary range is c£100k including car / benefits etc. The role is based in the West Country.
