General Manager: Hanham Health, South Gloucestershire, c£60-70k + benefits

Hanham Health

Hanham Health is a successful, innovative, flexible and inclusive GP Partnership based in South Gloucestershire. They provide NHS primary healthcare services as well as dedicated healthcare services in Secure Environments. The practice provides highly specialised GPs, nurse practitioners and dedicated admin support to two local prisons, HMP Eastwood Park and HMP Leyhill and to a local secure unit for young people, Vinney Green Secure Unit.

They are now seeking a General Manager to take overall responsibility for the day to day management of the Partnership. This is a replacement for the existing Managing Partner. Working closely with the Senior Partner for the practice and the management team, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of high quality, accessible clinical services, as well as the financial and commercial performance of Hanham Health’s business, managing the full team based at all its centres. You will be the main contact at the practice, acting as the Partnership’s ambassador in the community as well as looking at new ways to increase the profile locally, in business and with the NHS / PCT. Evidence of collaborative working with partner organisations which benefit the organisation and the wider health economy would also be useful but not essential. The role therefore requires a strong combination of leadership, operational management and controls, strategy, financial performance and governance. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. You will work closely with the Partners to affirm Hanham Health as a beacon of clinical excellence.

Ideally you will join from a Partnership, Practice Management, NHS or equivalent organisation. An understanding of the structure and framework of the NHS and the NHS financial regime would be desirable but not essential, as well as how the practice relates to the PCT/CCG. You will bring a track record of success in a senior management role with full P&L responsibility and people management experience. You will also be a Graduate or equivalent, with evidence of formal management development and continuing professional development.

This is an exciting role with a commercially focussed Health Services provider and we are seeking an individual who can demonstrate the ability to strive for excellence and innovation whilst staying focused, as well as displaying strong personal and professional integrity.

For further details, please contact Peaches Golding OBE at Moon Consulting on 01275 371200, alternatively please send cv and covering letter to recruit@moonconsulting.co.uk quoting reference MC1201-8.  Closing date for applications is 25 February, 2012. First interviews will be held during the week commencing 26 March.

NB: A CRB disclosure (enhanced) will be requested for all successful applicants.
