What is Outplacement?
Outplacement offers practical career guidance and support to members of staff leaving an organisation. We have a team of highly experienced HR consultants, led by Chris Eatwell who heads Moon HR Consulting, that provide expert assistance to develop the right opportunities for people moving on - from setting up a business, changing career direction or continuing up the corporate ladder.
How does our Outplacement Service work?
There are many providers in the marketplace who operate to a rigid, predetermined approach to outplacement with the individuals who have experienced this feeling that they have been 'processed'. They are given a surfeit of information and left asking themselves, SO WHAT! So what does this mean to me? So what do I need to do next? So what if I want to do something different?
Moon Consulting is different. We place the individual at the heart of our outplacement services, we do not swamp people with generic theory, instead we concentrate on the practical application of that theory and what it means to the individual. Our approach is flexible and not for a set number of meetings or time duration, this means that we are there for our clients when they need us most! All situations are different - off the shelf solutions are unlikely to be right for either the employer or the employee.
We work closely with the outgoing employee to give them a clear understanding of how to differentiate themselves from the competition working hand-in-hand with them on proactive job search techniques and utilising the experience we have gained to give them an unfair advantage in the job search process.

What do we actually do?
Restructuring programmes, terminations for any reason, or sometimes decisions to change career direction on the part of the employees themselves, can all lead to requests for outplacement support. Moon Consulting can provide a range of options that enable the client to choose their own outplacement package, including:
- An initial counselling session, with psychometric questionnaires;
- CV preparation;
- Coaching in self marketing and networking;
- Understanding the market place;
- Interview preparation and coaching;
- Ongoing coaching until the client obtains a new position;
- Appropriate skills training relevant to the individual.
People need to get results and quickly. They do not want to feel they are part of a process or joining a programme that is not 100% relevant to them. Moon Consulting recognises this need in its clients and responds accordingly to their needs in the structure of each individual programme.

Moon started providing business services in the areas of Finance and HR consulting to clients in 2007.
