Our Client, a fast-growing independent business operating in a large and exciting FMCG sector, is now seeking a Sales Director to join the entrepreneurial team on their journey to success.  With an existing proven 'on-trend' product range, the business is now looking to accelerate its sales through increased distribution channels and a wider product range.  Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will provide the opportunity for the right person to make a real difference to the future success of the company.

 

As Sales Director, you will be a key part of the senior management team, setting a sales strategy in conjunction with the Board of Directors and helping to drive both new product development and range optimisation. You will ensure Cost of Goods sales are controlled and budgetary targets are exceeded with regards to sales, margin and forecast growth, providing regular detailed reports for the Board. You will be highly experienced in developing client relationships and forming key partnerships with potential buyers and have demonstrable experience of communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

 

For this role, we are seeking a highly effective sales operator who is keen to recruit, develop and mentor a new sales team alongside the Managing Director. You will bring extensive FMCG experience gained from either account management and/or category management in a major grocery retailer, with a proven ability to articulate the distinct product and services offered and position them against competitors. Demonstrating senior sales experience with strong negotiation and influencing skills, you will be a credible communicator at Board level and a commercially focused individual. You will be an exceptional team player who is determined to succeed, whilst adopting a flexible, customer centric approach.
