Cook & Co Solicitors have today announced the appointment of Guy Stobart to their Advisory Board. Guy’s role at Cook & Co will be non-executive. He will provide guidance on growth, strategy and governance to the firm as well as acting in an ambassadorial capacity with clients and contacts.
The move marks a return to Bristol for Guy, who was previously the Managing Partner at Bristol law firm Burges Salmon. During his tenure the firm achieved a significant level of growth from £10m (FY95) to £68m (FY08).
Until the end of December 2014, Guy was Chief Executive Officer at Kennedys Law LLP, an international law firm headquartered in London. During his 5 years as CEO at Kennedys, turnover grew from £67m (FY09) to £128m (FY14) and among Guy’s other achievements were 5 successful mergers and new office openings.
